Last week I was on a trade show convention floor with good cellular coverage, but no free WiFi. I tried using Tether.app/Tether.com to get data access on my MacBook Pro via my iPhone, but it wasn't working for some reason, and they suggested I update the Tether app on my Mac to the latest version. Catch 22!
From my iPhone I could click on the tether DMG and choose to 'open' it in apps like Evernote or Dropbox. But neither of those will sync back to my Mac without some sort of internet connection, so it's Catch 22 again.
Are there any apps out there (other than jailbreaking) that allow one to download a DMG (or other random file) on my iPhone and then sync/transfer back to my Mac over either an ad-hoc WiFi (e.g. no internet) connection or via USB?
